Nollywood actress Racheal Okonkwo has taken a swipe at fellow actor Zubby Michael over his comment suggesting that her success could be scaring off potential suitors.
The drama started after Zubby, during a lighthearted conversation, joked that the actress may have intimidated many men due to her wealth and multiple landed properties, adding that she might end up attending Shiloh repeatedly.
But Racheal wasn’t laughing.
In a blunt response that has since sparked reactions online, the actress reminded him — and everyone watching — that her journey to success was anything but easy.
“I’m not looking for a poverty-alleviation relationship. If men fear successful women, why didn’t they marry me when I was roasting corn in Nsukka?” she fired.
Digging into her past, Racheal spoke about her humble beginnings, revealing she once roasted corn in Nsukka and danced at events just to survive before fame came calling.
She made it clear that her success was earned through years of hustle, not handed to her, and any man who feels threatened by that has no place in her life.
According to her, what she demands is simple respect, not insecurity.
