Nollywood actress Ini Dima-Okojie has announced the birth of her son, describing motherhood as the most humbling and life-changing experience she has ever had.
The actress shared the news on Instagram while celebrating her birthday, saying this year’s birthday felt different because she was marking it as a mother for the first time.
Ini said that unlike previous birthdays, which usually came with photoshoots, glamour and carefully planned concepts, she chose instead to share a photo from the day her son was born.
‘The Day My Life Changed Forever’
According to the actress, the birth of her son marked a turning point in her life.
“Every year, my birthday comes with a photoshoot, glam, and a carefully planned concept. This year, none of that felt quite right,” she wrote.
“Instead, I’m sharing a photo from the day my son was born. The day my life changed forever. Because as special as every birthday has been, this one feels different. This year, I celebrate as a mother.”
Ini described motherhood as a role that has stretched, challenged and filled her heart in ways she never imagined.
Motherhood Is Humbling — Ini
The actress said the past few weeks have been beautiful, overwhelming, exhausting and deeply rewarding.
“There is no role I have ever played that has humbled me, stretched me, challenged me, or filled my heart quite like this one,” she said.
“These past weeks have been some of the most beautiful, overwhelming, exhausting, and rewarding of my life.”
Ini added that getting to know her son has been the greatest gift of her life.
‘The Newborn Phase Is No Joke’
The actress said caring for her baby has helped her discover strength she did not know she had.
She also said the experience has given her deeper respect for mothers everywhere.
“Getting to know this tiny human, the cutest boy with the sweetest dimples, has been the greatest gift,” she wrote.
“Watching him grow, learning about him, loving him, and caring for him has shown me strengths I didn’t know I had. It has also given me an even deeper appreciation for mothers everywhere.”
She admitted that the newborn phase has been demanding, but said she would not trade the journey for anything.
“The newborn phase is no joke, and I definitely didn’t fully understand what was waiting for me. But even on the hardest days, I wouldn’t trade this journey for anything,” she added.

Ini expressed gratitude to God for entrusting her with her son and thanked fans for their love, prayers and support.
“I feel incredibly grateful that God chose me for this responsibility and entrusted me with such a precious life,” she said.
“Thank you for all the love, prayers, support, and kindness you’ve shown me during this new chapter. It has meant more than you know.”
The announcement comes after Ini had earlier confirmed her pregnancy following her struggle with fibroid.
