Afrobeats star Davido has once again shown faith in the Super Eagles, placing a $25,000 bet on Nigeria’s opening Group C clash against Tanzania at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
The singer took to his X page to share a screenshot of his betting slip, backing both teams to score in the encounter. If the prediction lands, Davido stands to pocket $96,564 (about N140 million).
This is not the first time the music star is putting money behind the national team. Davido previously wagered $10,000 on Nigeria’s World Cup playoff against Gabon, a game the Super Eagles eventually lost.
Nigeria will face Tanzania on December 23 at the Complexe Sportif de Fes, Morocco, as the Super Eagles begin their campaign in search of a fourth AFCON title.
