Angelina Jolie is reportedly preparing for a new chapter in her life after her youngest children, twins Knox and Vivienne, reached adulthood, giving the actress more freedom to travel and explore life beyond California.
Angelina Jolie is reportedly considering a major change in her lifestyle after her youngest children, twins Knox and Vivienne, turned 18.
The Oscar-winning actress is said to be ready to spend more time outside Los Angeles now that all six of her children have reached adulthood.
According to a source who spoke with People, Jolie has wanted to leave Los Angeles for several years and is looking forward to experiencing more of the world with her children.
“She has wanted them to experience the world and she’s excited that they can all do more of that together now,” the source said.
Jolie, 51, shares her six children — Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne — with her former husband, actor Brad Pitt.
The twins became legal adults on July 12, marking an important milestone for the actress, who has previously said her children have been the main reason she remained in Los Angeles.

Jolie has spoken openly in the past about her desire to live in different parts of the world and experience a quieter lifestyle away from the pressures of Hollywood.
In a 2024 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the actress explained that she had remained in Los Angeles partly because of responsibilities connected to her family and legal matters following her separation from Pitt.
“I grew up in Los Angeles, but as soon as they’re 18, I’ll be able to leave,” Jolie said at the time, referring to her younger children.
She explained that raising children in a public environment required careful consideration, especially regarding their privacy, safety and personal space.
The actress has previously expressed a strong connection to Cambodia, where she has spent significant time and has spoken about wanting to stay longer. She has also mentioned New York as a possible base in the United States because of her professional commitments.
Jolie’s reported plans come after years of public attention surrounding her divorce from Brad Pitt, which was finalized in December 2024 after a lengthy legal process.
The former couple have also remained involved in a separate legal dispute over Château Miraval, a French vineyard and estate they once owned together.
In addition to changes in her personal life, Jolie recently placed her Los Angeles property on the market for nearly $30 million.
The historic estate, which was once owned by filmmaker Cecil B. DeMille, includes a large mansion and sits on more than two acres of land.
The actress has continued balancing her work in film with humanitarian efforts and family responsibilities. With her children now older, she is expected to have more flexibility in deciding where she spends her time.
Jolie has consistently described motherhood as her greatest priority, and those close to her have said her decisions have always been guided by what is best for her children.
