Asake tops Spotify Nigeria’s all-time streaming chart

Singer Ahmed Ololade, known as Asake, has become the most-streamed artist of all time on Spotify Nigeria, according to a recent announcement by the streaming giant. The list was released to celebrate Spotify's fifth anniversary in Nigeria.

Following Asake, Wizkid and Seyi Vibez secured the second and third positions, respectively. Burna Boy and Davido rounded out the top five.

In addition to the artist rankings, Spotify also revealed the most-streamed songs of all time. Asake's "Remember" claimed the top spot. The remaining top five songs were "Dealer" by Ayo Maff and Fireboy, "Awolowo" by Fido, "Kese" by Wizkid, and "Lonely At The Top" by Asake.

The report also highlighted the dominance of Nigerian music in other African countries. In Kenya, Ruger’s ‘Asiwaju’, Ayra Starr’s ‘Rush’, Fireboy’s ‘Bandana’ and Asake’s ‘Lonely At The Top’ ranked at numbers 1, 2, 3, and 5, respectively. In Ghana, "Wotowoto Seasoning" by Odumodublvck featuring Black Sherif topped the list.
