Barcelona’s rising star, Lamine Yamal, has revealed the goal that means the most to him in his young career.

The 18-year-old forward, who broke into Barcelona’s senior team under former coach Xavi, has quickly become one of the most exciting talents in world football. In 2025, he finished second in the Ballon d’Or voting behind Ousmane Dembele and won the Kopa Trophy for the best young player in the world for the second year in a row.

Asked about his favourite goal, Yamal pointed to the stunning strike he scored against France in the semi-final of Euro 2024. His goal, combined with a strike from Dani Olmo, helped Spain win 2–1 and reach the final.

“I have three or four goals that I really like,” Yamal said in an interview with TouchlineX, reported by 60 Minutes on CBS News. “But if I had to pick just one, I would choose the goal I scored against France at the Euros. It was important for the team and also very beautiful.”

The goal was widely praised for its technique and confidence, and it remains a major highlight in Yamal’s growing career.
