Nigerian influencer Blessing CEO has issued an apology regarding her controversial stage four cancer claim, insisting that she did not lie about her health issues and is committed to being more transparent moving forward.

The drama began in January when Blessing CEO announced that she had been diagnosed with cancer, sharing what appeared to be a medical report and seeking financial help. However, Xinus Medical Diagnostics quickly disputed the report, claiming it had been altered and originally issued to another person, Deborah Mbara, a makeup artist and cancer survivor. Mbara later explained how Blessing allegedly obtained the report, prompting her family to take action and petition the EFCC over allegations of cyberbullying, forgery, and fraud.

The petition accused Blessing of raising over N300 million under false pretenses, while the Nigerian Cancer Society also called for an investigation into the matter.

In a recent Instagram post following weeks of public backlash, Blessing CEO apologized for the controversy and promised to provide greater transparency with her medical journey. She reaffirmed that her health claims were genuine and vowed to share her scan and biopsy results to keep the public informed every step of the way.

“I am sorry for the unnecessary drama, embarrassment, and controversy surrounding my health issues. I sincerely apologise. Going forward, I promise to be transparent with all my medical reports, including my scans and biopsy results,” she said.

Blessing also offered refunds to anyone uncomfortable with the controversy surrounding her health claims, asking them to provide proof of payment and their account details. She expressed deep gratitude for the support she had received, despite the scandal.

“To those who feel uncomfortable with the controversies, I am willing to offer refunds. Kindly send a WhatsApp message or DM with your receipt and account details, and you will be refunded,” she said. “Thank you all. Remain blessed. I still ask for your prayers, please ask God to perfect everything that concerns me.”

In a follow-up post, Blessing shared a video of herself undergoing an MRI scan, along with images of her swollen hand, which she described as having suffered from repeated punctures while trying to access her veins.

Despite the controversy, Blessing CEO’s apology and commitment to transparency have left many of her supporters hopeful for clarity as she navigates her health journey.
