[BREAKING] AFCON 2025: Super Eagles beat Egypt on penalties to claim bronze medal

TheSuper Eagles of Nigeria have secured their ninth Africa Cup of Nations bronze medal after defeating Egypt 4–2 on penalties in Saturday’s third-place playoff in Morocco.

After a tense 90-minute encounter that ended 0–0, both sides failed to find the breakthrough in regulation time, forcing the match into a penalty shootout. Nigeria held their nerve to triumph over one of Africa’s most consistent sides, restoring pride after missing out on the final.
