Alternative singer and songwriter Olawale Ashimi, popularly known as Brymo, has dropped another bombshell revelation, claiming that music icon 2Baba once confronted his ex-wife, Annie Macaulay-Idibia, in front of him to ask if they had been intimate.
The startling allegation was made during Brymo’s recent appearance on the NotJustOk podcast. Speaking candidly about his past, the “Good Morning” singer admitted to having multiple affairs with married women during the earlier stages of his career, using his own experiences to issue a stern warning to younger artists about the spiritual and physical dangers of such relationships.
“As at 2019, I remember that moment in Naomi’s office in Lekki Phase 1 when 2Face looked me square in the eye and asked Annie, ‘You don fuck Brymo?’ I will never forget it. I am wicked, you people don’t know me.” Brymo said.

Brymo explained that as his fame soared following his breakthrough hits, he attracted significant attention from older, married women who frequently misled him by claiming they were separated from their husbands. Reflecting on those encounters, the singer advised younger musicians to strictly steer clear of entanglements with people’s wives, warning that such lifestyle choices could “cut your life short” or expose them to dangerous situations.
To illustrate his point, he recounted a chilling incident where a married woman invited him to perform at an after-party, only to later reveal her husband would be present, which Brymo interpreted as a setup for a “crazy ritual,” prompting him to flee. He noted that the memory of that narrow escape immediately brought him back to the tense 2019 confrontation with 2Baba and Annie.
At the time of reporting, neither 2Baba nor Annie Macaulay has responded to Brymo’s public allegations.
