Burna Boy has released the visuals for ‘Love’, the emotional pulse of his latest album, ‘No Sign of Weakness’. And in classic Burna fashion, he doesn’t waste time on spectacle.
Ronami Ogulu, his sister and longtime creative partner, directs this one with a tenderness only family can access. The video opens quietly: a framed childhood photo of Burna and his grandmother. Her voice pours in through an old voice note — soft, familiar, grounding. It’s the kind of intimacy you can’t manufacture in any Lagos studio.
From there, the film becomes a collage of Burna’s real world. No filters. No superstar barricades. Just the Afrofusion giant moving through spaces filled with the people who built him — family in warm living rooms, friends laughing behind the scenes, and fans who hold him up like scripture. Between these moments, Ronami cuts in flashes of his explosive live performances, reminding viewers that Burna’s journey has always been a blend of vulnerability and fire.
He sings the hook like a confession:
“Na who go dey by your side if you waka through fire fire…
Na who love me I go love…
Na who love us we go love.”
It’s Burna in his purest state — protective, loyal, and fiercely selective about who gets access to his space.
Damini Ogulu has come a long way from that Port Harcourt boy who broke the gates with ‘Like to Party’ back in 2013. Ten years, Grammy wins, global tours, controversies, and triumphs later, he remains one of Africa’s most unstoppable acts — shapeshifting, genre-bending, and always polarizing.
And recently, the polarization has been loud. A Colorado concert clip showing him ejecting a couple for dozing off went viral, followed by an Instagram Live where he doubled down, insisting his shows are only for those who genuinely came for him. The fallout rippled into debates, think-pieces, and whispered chatter about upcoming tour adjustments.
But ‘Love’ is Burna’s counterpoint — a reminder that behind the flames and bravado is a man who keeps his circle tight and his loyalties tighter.
