Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Burna Boy has announced plans to return to the London Stadium in 2027, setting the stage for his third headline performance at the 80,000-capacity venue.
The Afro-fusion star, whose real name is Damini Ogulu, revealed the development through social media posts on Monday, teasing fans about “London Stadium III” alongside other upcoming announcements.
“So excited for 2027! London Stadium III and much more announcements for y’all,” Burna Boy wrote on X.
The announcement followed a cryptic Instagram post in which the singer displayed a 60-carat natural VVS diamond necklace created to celebrate his previous sold-out performances at the stadium.
Burna Boy Extends Historic London Stadium Record
A 2027 concert would further strengthen Burna Boy’s position as the first and only African artiste to headline and sell out the London Stadium.
He first achieved the feat in June 2023 during his Love, Damini tour before repeating the milestone in June 2024 with his I Told Them tour.
The London Stadium, which serves as the home ground of Premier League club West Ham United, has a football capacity of 60,000 but expands to about 80,000 for concerts.
The planned return comes after another major milestone for the Nigerian singer, following his appearance at the inaugural FIFA World Cup final halftime show.
Burna Boy rose to prominence with his 2012 hit single “Like to Party”, from his debut album L.I.F.E released in 2013, and has since become one of Africa’s biggest global music exports.
His acclaimed albums include African Giant (2019), Twice As Tall (2020), Love, Damini (2022), I Told Them (2023) and No Sign of Weakness (2025).
The singer currently holds the record for the highest number of Grammy nominations by a Nigerian artiste, with 13 nominations, and won the Best Global Music Album award in 2021 for Twice As Tall.
