Cardi B’s “Bodak Yellow” vibe just hit a courtroom remix. A fan, going by Jane Doe, has dragged the rapper into a lawsuit, accusing her of assault, battery, and negligence all because Cardi allegedly chucked her mic at her during a 2023 set at Drai’s Beachclub in Vegas .
According to the complaint, hot temps and high energy had Cardi hyped the crowd to splash her with water. But when Jane tossed a little of hers in Cardi’s face, she says the rapper flew off the handle and flung the mic straight at her, leaving her physically hurt and publicly embarrassed .
Jane’s not holding back she says the stunt left her shaken, humiliated, and even more upset when she saw the same mic later riffled for almost $100,000 at auction . She’s now suing both Cardi and the venue for damages.
But hold up Cardi’s legal team is calling the whole thing a “transparent and pitiful attempted financial shakedown,” reminding everyone that Nevada cops closed the case two years ago for lack of evidence
