CHAN 2025: Chelle releases full list of Super Eagles B squad

Head Coach Eric Chelle has released his 23-man squad for the 8th African Nations Championship (CHAN) taking place in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.

The list includes team captain Junior Nduka, defender Sikiru Alimi, and striker Godwin Obaje. Other notable names are goalkeeper Ozoemena Ani, defenders Sodiq Ismaila and Stephen Mayo, midfielders Hadi Haruna and Alex Oyowah, and forwards Anas Yusuf and Ijoma Anthony.

The team will depart for Zanzibar this evening aboard an Ethiopian Airlines flight for the tournament scheduled from August 2 to 30.

According to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), the squad will have a second-phase training camp in Zanzibar from Friday to July 31 before moving to official accommodation. Two friendlies against Zanzibar’s senior team have also been lined up for Monday and July 31.

Nigeria, silver medallists in 2018 and bronze winners in 2014, will face defending champions Senegal, Sudan, and Congo in Group D. Their first two games against Senegal and Sudan will be played at Amman Stadium, Zanzibar, before tackling Congo in Dar es Salaam.
