Charlie Kirk’s body has been flown to Arizona on US Vice-President JD Vance’s plane, Air Force Two, as the search for his killer continues.

The coffin was carried on board in Utah, where Kirk was shot dead on Wednesday. Vice-President Vance joined pallbearers in lifting the casket, while his wife Usha was later seen comforting Kirk’s widow, Erika, as they landed in Phoenix.

Meanwhile, investigators say they no longer believe they have the name of a “person of interest” in the case. Police sources had earlier told CBS News they were working with a possible lead, but that information has now been ruled out.

The FBI has released new video footage showing a suspect, dressed in black, running across a rooftop before fleeing the scene. Images of another “person of interest” in a black shirt and blue baseball cap have also been made public.

Utah Governor Spencer Cox said more than 7,000 tips have been submitted by the public. Officials in the state have confirmed they will seek the death penalty for Kirk’s murder once the suspect is caught.
