Chelsea beat Leverkusen 2-0 in pre-season match

Chelsea recorded a 2-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen in a pre-season friendly on Friday. Goals from Estêvão Willian and João Pedro secured the victory.

Estêvão opened the scoring in the 18th minute after a lively start to the game. Leverkusen’s R. Andrich was booked in the 7th minute, and Chelsea’s T. Chalobah received a yellow card six minutes later.

Leverkusen’s J. Quansah was also cautioned in the 26th minute as Chelsea stayed in control going into halftime.

João Pedro sealed the result in the 90th minute with a calm finish, giving Chelsea a morale boost as they continue their preparations for the new season.
