Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson nears Bayern switch

Bayern Munich have reached an agreement on personal terms with Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson as they push to strengthen their attack.

The German champions are targeting a loan deal for the Senegalese forward and will now begin official talks with Chelsea.

Jackson’s future at Stamford Bridge has become uncertain this summer after he slipped down the pecking order under new manager Enzo Maresca.

According to German journalist Christian Falk, “Jackson has agreed personal terms to join Bayern this summer.”

Chelsea value the 23-year-old at around £70 million ($94m). That high price tag has already blocked interest from other clubs like Arsenal and Aston Villa.

The arrivals of Joao Pedro and Liam Delap have pushed Jackson further down Chelsea’s striking options, making him consider a move away.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are keen on signing RB Leipzig star Xavi Simons. But they must first sell or loan out players to raise funds, making Jackson’s potential switch to Bayern one to watch in the coming days
