David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has cleared the air on a viral video that claimed he was slapped on the head during an outing in Warri, Delta State.
The short clip, which made the rounds on social media, showed Davido surrounded by fans and security when a hand appeared to land on his head.
The video quickly sparked reactions, with one user posting: “Warri people no get joy oo. See dem sl@p Davido for head.”
But reacting on Monday, Davido said it was a simple mix-up, explaining that it was his own security aide who mistakenly hit him.
“Mumu that was my security .. hit me by mistake .. saddist,” he wrote on his official X handle.
The clarification put an end to the speculations and debates among fans over whether the superstar had been assaulted.
