Davido’s logistics manager, Israel Afeara, popularly known as Israel DMW, has announced the burial arrangements for his late father, Afeare Eric.
According to the programme released by the social media personality, the funeral activities will begin on Thursday, July 9, 2026, when the remains of the deceased will leave Igue Mortuary for his residence at Oguedo Quarters, Ivbiu-Ake, Owan East Local Government Area of Edo State, for a social wake.
A funeral service and interment will take place on Friday, July 10, at the deceased’s compound in Oguedo Quarters, Ivbiu-Ake, beginning at 10 a.m.
When is Israel DMW’s father’s burial date?
The burial programme also includes an afternoon wake on Saturday, July 11, at the family residence from 2 p.m.
A thanksgiving service is scheduled for Sunday, July 12, at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Ake, Edo State, by 10 a.m.
The final event will be a reception on Sunday, July 19, at Crown Heart Pavilion, Country Road, Benin City, from noon.
Israel’s father, a retired Deputy Superintendent of Police, died on March 2, 2026, at the age of 71 after a brief illness.
Reacting to the loss at the time, Israel described his father as his pillar of strength and the man who held the family together.
“It is sad losing my father at this time. We still need him with us, but God knows better.
“He was my pillar of strength, and he was instrumental in making the family an indivisible unit,” he said.
The deceased is survived by two wives and eight children.
