Popular Nigerian comedian and reality TV star DeeOne has criticised gospel singer Yinka Alaseyori for apologising over her recent remarks on insecurity and the abduction of schoolchildren in Oyo State.
The former BBNaija housemate said the singer allowed public pressure to influence her decision, insisting she should have stood by her comments.

“Pressure made you apologise. You chose to displease God to please men,” he said.

The comedian said he believed Alaseyori spoke under divine inspiration during the prayer session and should not have reversed her position because of public backlash.
He advised the singer to seek God’s guidance rather than public approval whenever she faces criticism.
“I can bet that you did not seek the face of God before making that apology video,” he said.

DeeOne also referenced gospel minister Testimony Jaga, describing him as someone who remains firm in his convictions despite criticism.
According to him, ministers should focus on their calling rather than concerns about public acceptance.
