Nigerian media personality, Oladotun Ojuolape Kayode, popularly known as Do2dtun, has weighed in on the controversy involving Nollywood actresses Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham.
The development follows a viral video from a recent film premiere in Lagos, where Akindele was seen appearing to ignore Abraham, sparking reactions on social media.
Reacting via his X (formerly Twitter) handle, Do2dtun emphasised the need for individuals to understand their relationships and set clear boundaries in both online and real-life interactions.
He noted that people often fail to acknowledge others’ achievements on social media but attempt to maintain friendly appearances in person.
“Before you leave your house, know the people you will greet and will never greet. You truly know your enemies, colleagues, acquaintances and friends,” he wrote.
The media personality urged individuals to mirror their online behaviour in real life, advising that people should engage only with those they genuinely value.
“Follow who you rate, like who you like and block who you don’t. Apply it in real life,” he added.
Do2dtun further stated that not exchanging greetings should not be seen as unusual, stressing that social interactions should reflect genuine relationships rather than forced civility.
“People need to start understanding that when we don’t greet each other, the world never stops moving… We don’t even acknowledge our wins or congratulate each other even when we are meant to, so why would I greet you in real life?” he said.
