Nigerian media personality, Leo DaSilva, has recounted how he survived two separate poisoning incidents, describing the experiences as life-threatening.

DaSilva made the revelation in a post shared on his X (formerly Twitter) handle, where he detailed how the first incident occurred when he was just seven years old.

According to him, he was poisoned through a meal of egusi soup served with pomo and meat.

“The first time was with egusi soup with pomo and soft meat… I had stomach pain, but I kept eating,” he said.

He added that suspicion arose after the woman who prepared the food reportedly prevented her own children from eating it.

The former reality TV star disclosed that the second incident occurred years later, in 2012, when he was served jollof rice and turkey allegedly laced with poison.

Despite the severity of both incidents, DaSilva said he survived, noting that the first experience was the most critical.

“The egusi lady was the only one who came close to succeeding,” he added.
