The Kano Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested Kannywood actress, Samha Inuwa, over alleged mutilation of the Naira.
Inuwa was picked up on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, after a video showing her wiping mucus from her nose with Naira notes went viral on social media.
PM News gathered that the viral clip triggered swift action from the anti-graft agency, which traced the actress and effected her arrest.
She is currently being detained at the EFCC facility in Kano as investigations continue.
The Commission said the actress will be charged to court at the conclusion of investigations
