Nigerian music executive Ubi Franklin has described having children with different women as the worst decision of his life.
Franklin made the admission in a video shared on his Instagram page, expressing regret over the path he chose.
According to him, he would have acted differently if given another opportunity.
“I wish that some things that happened in my life had gone differently, and this is one of them. I wish I had taken a different road,” he said.
‘Money is not the problem’
Franklin warned younger men against believing that financial success would protect them from the complications associated with having children by multiple partners.
“No matter the money you think you have or what you think you are doing, trust me, that should never be a decision you make in your life,” he said.
The music executive explained that providing financially for the children was not his major challenge. He identified managing relationships and emotions among their mothers as the more difficult responsibility.
“Taking care of them is not the problem, but managing the emotions of the adults who are their mothers,” Franklin added.
He urged young men to learn from his experience and avoid choices that could expose them to prolonged family conflicts.
“Please, no matter the money you have or the life you want to live, let baby mama drama not be part of it,” he warned.
Franklin’s comments highlight a distinction often overlooked in discussions about multiple-parent households: financial capacity may cover material responsibilities, but it does not automatically resolve the emotional and co-parenting complications involved.
