Nollywood actor IK Ogbonna has strongly debunked viral reports claiming he is being investigated by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in partnership with the FBI over a $75,000 international romance scam.
The allegations surfaced online following a petition reportedly filed by a 49-year-old American citizen, Kimberly Ann. The complainant alleged that she had been in an internet-based romantic relationship with the movie star since 2025, during which the financial fraud took place.
This report is completely false, malicious, and without any factual basis. I don’t support, or participate in any form of internet fraud, romance scams, or any other fraudulent activity,” Ogbonna wrote in his disclaimer post.
