Controversial street-hop singer Portable has again stirred controversy after declaring himself “bigger than them” in a viral video where he appeared to accuse top industry figures of trying to frustrate his music career.
In the trending clip, the singer alleged that certain people were instructed not to play his songs, claiming he was told that Olamide allegedly gave such directives. Portable insisted his rise to fame was self-made and not tied to any single industry figure.
The singer, visibly emotional in the video, questioned why anyone would attempt to suppress his music, stressing that those who genuinely want to help him would not create pressure for him.
Speaking partly in Yoruba and English, he said:
“Eyin fans mi, egbami. I’m bigger than them Zaazu zeh. Who are those people that said they should not play my song? … Are you my God? Do you feed me? I have my own fans. I’m bigger than anybody. You are not the ones taking care of me, my wife and kids.”
The latest outburst adds to a growing list of controversial statements from the singer, who has previously called out industry heavyweights including Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy, while also comparing himself to legends like Fela Kuti.
The development is already generating heated reactions across social media, with fans divided between supporting Portable’s outspoken stance and criticising what many describe as repeated attacks on established industry figures.
