Nollywood actor Jim Iyke has opened up about his university days, revealing that he once pursued romantic relationships partly because he wanted access to home-cooked meals.
The actor made the revelation during an appearance on the Lahor Podcast, where he discussed his experiences as a student and admitted that cooking was one skill he struggled with while in school.
According to Iyke, his inability to prepare meals led him to approach different women and form relationships with them, knowing they could help with cooking.
He explained that the relationships were not always based on genuine romantic interest at the time, but were influenced by his desire to have someone prepare meals for him.
“The only thing I don’t know how to do in this life is cooking. In university, I used to toast girls every week so they could cook for me,” Iyke said.
The actor added that after the meals were prepared, he would end some of those relationships, describing the behaviour as something that eventually caught up with him.
“Once she finished cooking, I’d break up with her. The day I was caught, the whole department stopped giving me a chance,” he added.
