Veteran Nollywood actress Joke Silva has shared some candid thoughts on marrying an older man, offering fans a glimpse into her enduring marriage to legendary actor Olu Jacobs
Speaking during a recent appearance on TVC’s Your View, the 64-year-old reflected on how she and Jacobs met on a movie set many years ago a moment that eventually led to marriage despite their large age gap.
Silva admitted that while it was love at first sight for her husband, it wasn’t quite the same for her initially. She also joked that one of the advantages of being married to an older man is that “these older men allow you to get away with a lot of things.”
The couple married in 1985 when she was 24 and he was 44 a 20-year difference and the union has since produced two children and lasted nearly four decades.
