German-Nigerian footballer Karim Adeyemi has decided to remain at Borussia Dortmund this summer, despite interest from top clubs in Italy.
The 23-year-old winger is said to be happy at the club and no transfer talks have taken place so far. Reports had linked him with moves to Napoli and Juventus, but sources close to the player say he is not planning to leave.
Napoli reportedly made a €50 million bid earlier this year, but Adeyemi rejected it because he wants to focus on his career at Dortmund.
With Niko Kovač now in charge, Adeyemi has become a regular starter and is back in good form. He has a contract with the club until 2027, and there are reports he might even extend his deal.
Last season, Adeyemi was one of Dortmund’s key players. He scored important goals in the Bundesliga and the Champions League, including a hat-trick against Celtic and a solo goal against Chelsea.
For now, he is fully focused on helping the team succeed. However, if Dortmund fail to qualify for the Champions League next season, the club might consider selling him.
But as it stands, Karim Adeyemi is staying put.
