Popular gospel singer Mercy Chinwo and her husband, Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa, have welcomed their second child, a year after the birth of their first.
The couple made the announcement on Friday through a joint Instagram post, giving all the glory to God for what they described as another precious blessing to their home.
“The Lord has done it again! He has added to our joy, multiplied our laughter, and blessed us with the precious gift of a second baby,” the post read. “His name will be lifted in our lineage forever. Generations from us will walk in His light. Through us, many will be blessed, and the nations will call us blessed. Welcome, our precious gift.”
Mercy, known for hits like Excess Love and Obinasom, also used the opportunity to celebrate her husband, calling him “an amazing father of two” while thanking God for His faithfulness over their lives.
“Oh my love @theofficialblessed – an amazing father of TWO! The Lord has indeed been good to us,” she wrote.
Mercy and Pastor Blessed tied the knot in August 2022 and welcomed their first child in October 2023.
Since the announcement, the couple’s social media pages have been flooded with congratulatory messages from fans, colleagues, and fellow gospel ministers.
