Nigerian gospel singer Mike Abdul is set to release a new song titled Fuji Rush on June 20.

In a statement released on Wednesday, Abdul said the track will be available on all major streaming platforms. He described the song as a mix of Fuji music and African gospel praise.

“Taking the church to the streets is what we do,” he said. “Fuji Rush is another way to do that. If you can move your body in praise, then move it with Fuji Rush.”

Mike Abdul is popular for hit songs like Korede, Morire, I Can Carry My Body, and 30 Billion Halleluyah. His music often combines gospel messages with traditional African sounds and modern styles.

When asked how he creates such unique music, Abdul said: “I’ll be doing a masterclass on that soon. But honestly, I’m as surprised as anyone else. I don’t know how it happens.”

“Spiritually, I believe I just step aside and let God speak through me. There are many times I’ve felt strongly led to make music in a certain direction—even when it didn’t make business sense. But whenever I follow that leading, the outcome is always amazing.”

Abdul began his music career in 2001 when he co-founded the gospel group The Midnight Crew. Since then, he has worked with many gospel artists, including MoniQue and Tim Godfrey.
