Nigerian actress Scarlet Gomez has opened up about her husband Temi Gomez’s relaxed attitude toward her intimate on-screen roles.
Speaking on the ‘Curiosity Made Me Ask’ podcast, the Wura star said her husband recognizes the difference between her real life and the characters she portrays, describing his trust as “unwavering.”
“I am married to a man, not a boy. He does not have a small ego. And he trusts his wife,” Scarlet said, reflecting on her eight-year marriage.
She also addressed the focus on kissing scenes in interviews, urging for less emphasis on them. “Marriage is not a requirement for acting. It is sure for me. I am doing my job… why are you centred on kissing?” she asked.
Scarlet, who started acting in 2012, admitted that acting was not her first career choice but became a means to earn a living. She recently spoke about the emotional demands of her lead role in Wura, crediting her friends and family for their support.
While the role brought her wider recognition, she emphasized her intention to avoid being typecast, continuing to pursue diverse characters on screen.
