Afrobeat singer Seun Kuti has revealed a startling childhood memory involving his late father, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, and his mother during one of Fela’s prison stints.
According to Seun, his mother once secretly hid cannabis inside a loaf of bread and asked him then just a childto deliver it to his father in prison, without explaining what was inside.
He recalled that at the time, he had no idea what he was carrying. Like any innocent child, he simply followed instructions, unaware that the bread contained contraband meant for his incarcerated father.
