Napoli have rejected a fresh €70 million offer from Turkish club Galatasaray for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen.

Galatasaray submitted the new bid on Wednesday, July 10, with attached bank documents to show proof of payment. But Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis turned it down, insisting on a guaranteed €75 million fee before he can release the player.

This is the second time in one week that Galatasaray’s offer has been rejected. The first proposal, said to be around €65 million, was dismissed immediately as too low.

A source close to the talks said, “Napoli want €75 million upfront. No bonuses, no installments, just a complete cash deal.”

Osimhen, who is currently 25 years old, joined Napoli in 2020 and has been one of their top performers. He scored 15 goals last season despite Napoli’s poor run in the Serie A.

Although Osimhen is open to leaving the club this summer, Napoli’s asking price has made it difficult for interested clubs to reach an agreement.

Galatasaray had hoped that adding payment guarantees would push the deal through, but De Laurentiis is standing firm.

For now, Osimhen remains with Napoli, and it’s unclear if Galatasaray will return with a higher bid or move on to other targets.
