Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday says she has arrested the woman who secretly recorded her at the gym and posted the video online.
She spoke about the incident on the Honest Brunch Podcast, where she explained how she found the woman who filmed her without permission.
Nkechi said she first asked the gym, iFitness, for the woman’s details but they refused to help.
“iFitness hid her information from me… I found her. I got her arrested, of course,” she said.
Before talking about the arrest, the actress defended her natural body and criticised people who mocked her after the video went viral.
“You get BBL, you dey snap me wey get natural body. Are you stupid, sis?” she said.
Nkechi explained that she wears clothes that make her comfortable at the gym and is not trying to impress anyone.
“This is who I have been. I wear the clothes that make me feel comfortable. I’m not trying to hide from nobody,” she said.
The viral video showed her looking tired and without makeup, which led to many people body-shaming her. She later wrote on Instagram that she goes to the gym to stay fit, not for fashion.
She said it is normal to look tired after working out and that she originally wanted to let the issue go, but later chose to take action.
Since then, the actress has promoted body positivity online and even started a challenge encouraging women with big stomachs to love their natural bodies.
