Afrobeats singer Stanley Omah Didia, popularly known as Omah Lay, has told Nigerians to take action rather than rely only on prayers.

Omah Lay made the comment on Thursday on his X handle while reacting to calls by religious leaders asking Nigerians to pray over recent events in the country.

He said Nigeria will not see real change until people stop depending solely on religion and begin to take responsibility.

“No Jesus, no Allah, no prayer is saving us. Nothing changes until we wake TF up,” he wrote.

His comment sparked reactions from other users who agreed that Nigerians often rely too much on religion when action is needed.
