Veteran Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has publicly welcomed her daughter Meraiah Ekeinde’s fiancé, Manny, into the family, showering him with glowing words following the couple’s engagement.
The actress made her feelings about her future son-in-law clear in a social media post where she described Manny as God-fearing, kind and intentional.
Omotola shared photographs of Meraiah and her fiancé as she celebrated their relationship and expressed excitement about the next chapter of their lives.
“Dear Manny, you are God-fearing, kind, and intentional. What’s not to absolutely love about you! What a man!” she wrote.
The actress also said the couple appeared perfectly suited for each other, describing both Meraiah and Manny as kind-hearted and gentle.
“You both are so fit for each other — kind-hearted, soft, and bugee. We love you. Congratulations!” she added.
Omotola concluded the message with “We can’t wait for MxM26,” an apparent reference to the couple and their anticipated wedding plans.
Her public endorsement came shortly after Meraiah announced her engagement to Manny.
The engagement was revealed with a romantic proposal video showing the couple during a getaway in Mexico. Meraiah also showed off her engagement ring while celebrating the milestone with her followers.
Meraiah’s engagement brings fresh celebration to Ekeinde family
The engagement is another major family milestone for Omotola, who has often shared glimpses of her relationship with her husband and children with fans.
Meraiah, also known as Mimi, is the second daughter of Omotola and her husband, Captain Matthew Ekeinde. The couple have four children — Princess, Meraiah, Matthew and Michael.
Omotola and Captain Ekeinde married in 1996 and marked their 30th wedding anniversary in 2026, making their daughter’s approaching wedding another significant moment for the family.
The actress’ enthusiastic acceptance of Manny has consequently attracted attention, particularly her emphasis on character rather than status or appearance when describing what she admires about him.
Her message suggested that Manny had already formed a strong relationship with the family before the engagement became public.
Meraiah announced the engagement on August 12, sharing images and video from the proposal with her followers.
Omotola followed days later with her own celebration, formally welcoming her future son-in-law and leaving little doubt about her approval of the union.
The actress nevertheless could not resist praising the couple’s appearance.
“Damn! Show me a better-looking couple right now,” she wrote before turning her attention to the qualities she admired in Manny.
The hashtag and phrase “MxM26” used in her post have also fuelled expectations that Meraiah and Manny could tie the knot in 2026, although details of the wedding ceremony have not yet been publicly announced.
For Omotola, however, the message was already clear.
Her daughter has found a man she considers kind, intentional and God-fearing — and the Nollywood star appears more than ready to welcome him officially into the Ekeinde family.
