Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) made history on Saturday night, winning their first-ever UEFA Champions League title with a stunning 5-0 victory over Inter Milan in Munich, Germany.

The French champions dominated the match from the start, with right-back Achraf Hakimi scoring against his former club in the 12th minute. Teenage sensation Désiré Doué then took center stage, scoring twice in what became the biggest win ever recorded in a Champions League final.

Doué’s first goal came in the 20th minute from a deflected shot after a quick counterattack. He added his second in the 63rd minute, finishing off a clever move to make it 3-0. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia added a fourth in the 73rd minute, and 19-year-old substitute Senny Mayulu completed the rout with a fifth goal in the 86th minute.

Inter Milan, who were chasing their first Champions League title since 2010, had no answers throughout the game. Their only real chance in the first half came from Marcus Thuram, who headed wide from a corner. Things worsened for them in the second half when defender Yann Bisseck came on and left the field injured just minutes later.

The win caps off a dream season for PSG, who had already secured the French league and cup titles. They become only the second French club to win the Champions League — the first being Marseille in 1993, also in Munich.

For coach Luis Enrique, it’s his second Champions League title, having first won it with Barcelona in 2015. This young PSG squad has been rebuilt over the past two seasons, especially after star striker Kylian Mbappé left the club.

Doué, who turns 20 next week, was the standout performer on the night. His two goals and overall performance earned him a standing ovation when he was substituted late in the match.

For Inter Milan, it was a night to forget. After missing out on the Serie A title to Napoli last week, they now end the season without a trophy. Their second Champions League final loss in three years could signal a need to rebuild their ageing squad.

PSG's five-goal haul is the highest ever in a Champions League final since Benfica did the same in 1962 — a night that will live long in the memory of their fans.
