Veteran Nigerian actor and filmmaker Ramsey Nouah has revealed that discipline and consistency are the secrets behind his lasting success in Nollywood.
The 55-year-old actor said talent alone was not enough to build and sustain a successful career in the entertainment industry.
Speaking during a recent interview, Nouah reflected on his journey spanning more than three decades and the sacrifices that have kept him relevant.
“I’ve come to know and learn that talent is not enough. Discipline is what actually keeps you consistent when inspiration fails you,” he said.
Why fame does not always mean success
Nouah explained that many people mistake popularity for success because they only see the glamour associated with being a celebrity.
According to him, the public rarely sees the hard work, doubts, sacrifices and determination behind an entertainer’s achievements.
The actor argued that achieving success once may be easier than remaining successful over a long period.
“Success can happen just once. Consistency is what really matters. And for you to be consistent, you need discipline,” he added.
Nouah remains one of Nollywood’s most respected personalities, having built a successful career as an actor, director and producer.
He directed the acclaimed film Living in Bondage and has appeared in several major productions, including Netflix’s Blood Sisters.
