Nigerian Afrobeats star Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, has joined the list of global celebrities who own properties at One by Binghatti, a luxury residential development in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Binghatti Developers announced the singer’s acquisition in a statement shared on Instagram on Monday, describing Rema as the latest international personality to become a homeowner in the exclusive residential project.

The official signing ceremony took place at the Grand Hyatt Dubai and was attended by Abdullah Binghatti, the company’s chief sales officer, alongside other members of the management team.

“Binghatti proudly announces global singer and songwriter Rema as the newest homeowner at One by Binghatti,” the company stated.

A deputy chief sales officer of the company also shared a video from the ceremony, welcoming the Afrobeats artiste into the Binghatti community.

“Another global icon joins the Binghatti legacy. Welcome home, Rema,” he wrote.

Rema’s growing global profile beyond music

Rema’s new luxury residence is located in Dubai’s Business Bay area, approximately a five-minute drive from the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building.

The singer, who was born Divine Ikubor, began his professional music journey after signing with D’Prince’s Jonzing World, a subsidiary of Mavin Records, in 2019.

He gained international recognition following the success of his hit single “Calm Down,” featuring American singer Selena Gomez. The song earned him the first-ever Best Afrobeats award at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) in 2023.

His second studio album, “HeIs,” achieved a record-breaking milestone in 2024 after becoming the biggest first-week streaming album on Spotify Nigeria.

The project was also nominated for Best Global Music Album at the 2025 Grammy Awards but lost the category to Matt B’s “Alkebulan II.”

At the 16th Headies Awards, Rema was recognised with the Best Male Artiste and Digital Artiste of the Year awards.

The latest property acquisition adds to Rema’s growing list of achievements as he continues to expand his influence both within the global music industry and beyond.
