Nigerian skit maker and content creator Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, has raised concerns over alleged fake dollar notes he received during his recent wedding ceremony with fellow content creator Jarvis.

Peller disclosed this in a video, explaining that while some of the money sprayed on him during the celebration was genuine, he allegedly discovered that some of the dollar notes were fake after returning home.

The content creator said he visited the bank to verify some of the cash gifts he received and confirmed that the Nigerian currency presented to him was authentic. However, he claimed that some of the dollar bills turned out to be counterfeit.

“I went to the bank, and the Nigerian money was genuine. I saw that a lot of people gave me Nigerian currency. Yes, they gave me Nigerian currency, and that is good. I know the people who gave me genuine money; if I see them, I will recognise them,” Peller said.

Peller questions why guests sprayed fake money at his wedding

The skit maker alleged that some individuals gave him fake dollar notes during the wedding celebration, saying he only discovered the issue after attempting to use the money for a video.

“When they came, I saw them. They gave me fake money. I got home, I was feeling like a millionaire and used the money to make a video. ‘Hello, hello,’ and then I realised it was fake. I can’t talk,” he added.

Peller expressed disappointment over the situation, noting that he had remained quiet about the dollar issue since discovering the alleged fake notes.

“Since I went to change dollars yesterday night, I haven’t talked about the dollars since this morning, not even tonight. Is it by force to spray money?” he asked.

The content creator maintained that he could identify some of the guests who gave him genuine Nigerian currency but claimed that other cash gifts received during the wedding were not authentic.

He did not reveal the identities of those he accused of spraying the alleged fake dollars.
