International music star Rihanna has left Los Angeles following a shooting at her Beverly Hills residence.
The singer was seen on Monday boarding a private jet at Van Nuys Airport, with her luggage transported to the airport’s private wing ahead of departure.
The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) identified the suspect as Ivanna Lisette Ortiz. Police said the woman arrived at Rihanna’s home last Sunday in a Tesla, armed with a semi-automatic rifle, and fired about ten rounds at the property shared with her partner, A$AP Rocky.
Investigators discovered four bullet holes at the main gate and additional damage at a neighbouring garage. Ortiz fled the scene but was apprehended approximately 12 kilometres away, and her vehicle was recovered.
No casualties were reported in the attack. Ortiz has been formally charged with attempted murder, while police continue to investigate the motive behind the incident.
