Nigerian street-pop artist Seyi Vibez has deleted all negative posts targeting celebrity chef Hilda Baci across his social media pages following a formal legal warning.
The move comes hours after Baci’s legal team threatened a lawsuit, demanding the immediate removal of libelous comments made during his public dispute with Dapper Music CEO Damilola Akinwunmi.
Singer removes posts following legal notice but yet to apologize
Although Seyi Vibez complied with the demand to take down the defamatory content, he has not yet issued the public apology requested in the legal notice. The dispute began when the singer dragged Baci into his ongoing financial disagreement with his former record label boss over alleged missing catalog funds.
In her warning letter, Baci demanded that Seyi Vibez “immediately remove and permanently delete the above referenced publications” and provide a written commitment to cease publishing defamatory statements. While the posts have been pulled down, the artist—who parted ways with Dapper Music in September 2024 to become an independent act—has so far remained silent on issuing an official retraction.
