American pop star Taylor Swift has made history with her latest album, The Life of a Showgirl, after it spent 10 straight weeks at number one on the Billboard 200 chart.
The album, released in October, is now the fourth project by Swift to reach at least 10 weeks at the top of the chart. This makes her the first female artist to achieve the feat with four different albums.
Speaking on the New Heights podcast, Swift described making the album as a special experience and said it is one of her strongest works so far.
She explained that the album was created with producers Max Martin and Shellback, without any other collaborators, which helped give the project a clear direction.
Swift said the album came from a joyful and creative period in her life, adding that she is proud of the final result.
