Reality TV star Teddy A, whose real name is Tope Adenibuyan, has spoken out about the damaging impact of past allegations of physical abuse against his wife, Bamike “Bambam” Olawunmi-Adenibuyan. In a recent interview on the WithChude podcast, Teddy A described the claims as false and deeply distressing for him and his family.

The allegations, which circulated widely on social media, accused Teddy A of beating his wife, including during her pregnancy. He refuted these claims, stating they were completely untrue and caught him and his wife off guard. He recounted that on the day the allegations surfaced, everything seemed normal, with his wife watching a movie and laughing. He became aware of the situation only after noticing a surge in notifications on his phone.

Teddy A explained that the false reports led to intense online discussions and speculation, leaving him stunned by how quickly the narrative spread. He initially followed his manager's advice to remain silent, but later realized the damage that decision caused, as the accusations continued to surface years later. He noted that even now, people still comment on their social media posts, asking if he beats his wife.

The former Big Brother Naija housemate described the experience as painful, stating that it altered how some members of the public perceived him. He highlighted the long-term impact of unverified allegations and the importance of addressing false claims promptly. Neither Teddy A nor Bambam has ever confirmed any incident of domestic abuse, and they have maintained a united public front.
