Nigerian superstar Temilade Openiyi, aka Tems, has just made history on the global music stage becoming the first African female artist ever to score seven entries on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart
Her latest success came this week when her track “What You Need” debuted at No. 93, pushing her total Hot 100 appearances to seven. That ties her with fellow Nigerian star Burna Boy and South Africa’s Seether for the most Billboard Hot 100 entries by any African artiste. 
Tems first blew up globally in 2022 when her feature on “Wait For U” with Future and Drake launched straight to No. 1 on the Hot 100 another historic first for an African artist.
