Afrobeats star Davido has reacted to the public apology issued by his official streamer, Davrel, following allegations of disrespectful behaviour.
Davrel came under heavy criticism over an incident at the burial ceremony of Israel DMW’s late father in Edo State.
A video circulating online showed the streamer sitting on a chair reportedly reserved for Davido while placing one leg on the seat.
Davido was still standing when another person approached Davrel and asked him to vacate the chair.
Davrel apologises after 30BG backlash
The footage angered members of Davido’s fanbase, popularly known as 30BG, who accused Davrel of disrespecting the singer.
Following the social-media backlash, Davrel released a video publicly apologising to Davido’s fans over his conduct at the ceremony.
Davido subsequently responded in the comment section, accepting the apology while advising the streamer to behave more carefully.
“Good job, son. Move better and be smarter. The world is watching you now. Love you,” Davido wrote.
The singer’s response attracted further reactions from fans, with many commending him for correcting Davrel publicly without escalating the controversy.
