Founder of the UK-based church SPAC Nation,Tobi Adegboyega has revealed that he recently underwent surgery for cancer.
In a now-viral video shared with his congregation, Adegboyega said he has been battling cancer for several months and was absent from church because of the surgery.
“I’ve been dealing with cancer for a few months now. I just had a major surgery, which is why I’m not in church today,” he said. “But I believe God has given me the chance to live.”
He encouraged members of his church to keep moving forward, despite challenges. “I want you to know that life and work must continue,” he added. “By the time you watch this, I will be in surgery, fighting for my life. But it’s already a success—we will always win.”
Last year, Adegboyega was in the news over a deportation case in the UK tied to an alleged £1.87 million fraud. He denied the claims, saying the fraud accusations came from unhappy former church members. He also insisted the deportation case was still being reviewed by the courts.
