Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappe missed training on Tuesday, putting his participation in Wednesday’s Champions League match against Manchester City in doubt.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed in a post on X that “Kylian Mbappé didn’t train with the Real Madrid squad, and he’s a doubt to face Manchester City.”
Real Madrid have not released any official update on why the forward was absent or whether it is linked to an injury.
Mbappé has been one of the club’s standout performers this season, scoring 16 La Liga goals and nine goals in the Champions League so far.
His possible absence comes at a difficult moment for Madrid, who were beaten 2–0 by Celta Vigo on Sunday— their first home defeat of the season and their first loss to Celta in Madrid in 19 years.
