Kelvin Atobiloye, popularly known as Kelvin Power, the muscular bouncer who now works with Afrobeats star Kizz Daniel, has opened up on why he once quit working for billionaire businessman Mike Adenuga.
Kelvin revealed that the real challenge during his time with the telecoms mogul’s family came from a difficult working relationship with Adenuga’s daughter, Bella Adenuga.
Speaking in an interview with The PUNCH, the fitness expert and security professional said he initially worked directly under Bella but constantly felt his efforts were not appreciated.
According to him, the situation became increasingly tense as nothing he did seemed to satisfy her expectations.
“I was working with Adenuga’s daughter, Bella, but it seemed nothing I did pleased her. One day, she sent me back to her father’s compound. I then started working with Adenuga directly. But she still had issues with me, so I eventually had to leave,” he said.
Kelvin explained that after the disagreements, he was reassigned to work at the residence of the billionaire himself, effectively becoming part of Adenuga’s personal security team.
However, he said the move did not solve the problem as the dissatisfaction continued, leaving him with little choice but to walk away from the job.
The security expert added that the decision to quit came during one of the darkest moments of his life.
According to him, the incident happened about ten years ago when he had just lost his mother and was struggling financially.
Leaving the job, he said, meant starting life again at a time when everything already felt uncertain.
After exiting the Adenuga household, Kelvin continued working in the private security industry before he was eventually introduced to singer Kizz Daniel through a professional security company.
