Popular comedian Klint Da Drunk has explained why he switched from music to comedy, saying he has no regrets and is happy with his choice.
Speaking in a recent interview with Naija FM Lagos, Klint revealed that while studying at the Institute of Management Technology (IMT) in Enugu, he initially pursued music. However, after watching fellow student and musician 2Face perform at a campus event, Klint felt his style was different and decided to quit music.
He shared, “I used to be a musician until 2Face got admitted to my school, IMT. One day when he got on stage to perform, I left the hall. The organisers asked me to stay and perform after him, but after hearing just two lines from 2Face, I went home. I didn’t know our styles were different. If I had known, I would have continued making music. But thank God I didn’t. I like where I am.”
Before focusing on comedy, Klint Da Drunk was part of a music group he co-founded with rapper Mr Raw. The group placed second in the 2002 Star Quest talent show. Since then, Klint has built a successful comedy career and appeared in over a dozen Nollywood films, including “Men On The Run,” “Madam 10/10,” “Fast Cash,” and “Lost Kingdom.”
